Internet Filmmakers Fly High for TV Development Deals

Internet Filmmakers Fly High for TV Development Deals

North Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2006

This April, the 2006 Newport Beach Film Festival will be screening Episode 1 of Ford Austin, Scott Ingalls, & Tomas Arceo’s independent web series “The Wright Stuff”, a hilariously ingenious comedy that follows the Wright Brothers as they take assignments from President Teddy Roosevelt and use their “flying machine” to fight evil throughout the world.

“The main thing that makes this series so funny is the fact that the Wright Brothers actually only flew their plane for roughly a minute at a time and we have them both flying around the world on madcap adventures”, claim show creators Ford Austin & Scott Ingalls.

The 2005 Newport Beach Film Festival is where Academy Award winner for Best Picture “CRASH” had it’s US premiere in 2005. Now, the 3 aspiring television producers Austin, Ingalls, & Arceo exclaim, “We feel that if it’s good enough for Lion’s Gate then it’s good enough for us to premiere there, too!” Well, not entirely your “premiere”, fellas. “The Wright Stuff” has been a critically acclaimed web series on the now infamous Channel 101 since August 2005. Channel 101, an inherently comedic Internet-TV network, touts such stars as: Jack Black, Sarah Silverman, TV’s Donny Most (Happy Days), Ethan Phillips (Star Trek: Voyager), and SNL’s Andy Samberg who’s digital short Lazy Sunday can now be seen on every ipod on the planet. Each month Channel 101 selects it’s content democratically as hundreds of excited fans gather at Cinespace in Hollywood, California to watch the latest “network” programming and vote on what shows should be “primetime” and which should be “cancelled”. “You make a 5-minute “pilot” episode, it gets into “primetime”, and after 6 months of defending your primetime spot you start to look forward to being cancelled so you can move on and think about creating your next show”, Austin says.

And for Austin/Ingalls/Arceo, Channel 101 and The Newport Beach Film Festival are just the beginning. Every episode of The “Wright Stuff” series, with more aeronautic slapstick, bowler hats, and 1910 period-film charisma than you can cram into the overhead bin, has been selected to screen in competition at the 2006 Bare Bones Film Festival in Muskogee, Oklahoma this April. “All the episodes have also been nominated for the Best Comedy Short Award and/or Awards…I guess we are competing against ourselves at that one,” Austin says with a wry smile. Muskogee’s Bare Bones Film Festival, currently in its 7th year, is one of the last truly independent film festivals in the states. Owned and operated by Oscar Dean Ray and Shiron Butterfly, the Bare Bones Film Festival is a hugely successful anomaly of the independent world with virtually no major corporate funding.

Even though they are successful on the festival circuit, corporate funding is exactly what Austin, Ingalls, & Arceo are aiming for, according to industry insiders. With Austins’ background in acting & producing, Ingalls’ in directing, and Arceos’ in photography, the trio strike the perfect balance for success. In January 2006, the talented filmmakers formed their own production company called Fleaco Pix LLC so they could develop their TV show ideas for major networks in Hollywood. Austin claims, “Studios and networks such as NBC, DISNEY and FOX have created mentor-type programs to develop new television shows; and after Scott’s involvement with ‘Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show’ and Paramount television producing one of my great courtroom show ideas I sold to them this past year, we decided to get in line to develop our other super-fresh ideas”. Foremost in their plans for moving forward is the commitment to find development executives at NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and DISNEY, to nurture their talents and aspirations as show runners so they can create the programming for future generations.

“Our creativity is off the charts, and now there are more outlets in Hollywood and around the country where an actor, writer or filmmaker can develop their work without taking on a huge financial burden in order to reach an audience. We’re looking to get involved in programs such as PSNBC and Fox Searchlab’s TV division to provide the infrastructure that we need as artists in order to produce our works. We are the exactly what that all creative executives in both New York and in Los Angeles are looking for.”

Fleaco Pix LLC, founded in January 2006, is based in Los Angeles, California. Owners: Ford Austin, Scott Ingalls, and Tomas Arceo.

Electrical and Electronic Engineer Builds the Internet Tower

Electrical and Electronic Engineer Builds the Internet Tower

Kluang, Johor (PRWEB) October 10, 2006

A 30-year-old engineer from a small town in southern Peninsular Malaysia is hoping to make his ‘Internet Tower’ (http://www.internettower.com) as world famous as the Petronas Towers. Just as these famous towers draw large crowds of tourists from all over the world, Lim hopes the Internet Tower will soon be a household name, swamped by online traffic from all over the internet.

Lim set up his site, internettower.com, one night after watching the reality TV show “The Apprentice” into the early hours. He was unable to sleep and, seeing “The Trump Tower”, the inspiration for the internet tower struck. “I was very surprised that the domain was still available and immediately registered it,” he said.

Now open to booking, the Internet Tower, stands a majestic 200 stories tall. It has 10,000 units and is divided into 12 zones. There are only 50 units on each level. Each of the 12 zones is reserved for specific industries. The largest zone, comprising 95 levels, starts on the 101st floor. The smallest and most exclusive zone is limited to the five top levels. The 10 bottom floors are reserved for future ideas and not available for bookings.

Lim, who has a degree in electrical & electronic engineering, made it easy for people who book units in the tower to both customize the look of the tower and include a link to their website from their unit.

The Internet Tower is a mini representation of the internet marketplace and doubles as a must-see online tourist destination.

“If you go to Paris, you must see the Eiffel Tower. If you go on the World Wide Web, you simply must see the Internet Tower,” commented Lim.

Asked if his engineering background helped with building the tower, Lim explained, “Although I certainly didn’t directly use the same skills a civil engineer would need when helping create a building, I drew upon traits common to all engineers, like ingenuity and creativity, to bring the Internet Tower to life.”

The Internet Tower site is now open for new reservations. The Internet Tower will be officially launched to virtual tourists on January 1, 2007.

Grad Dad Robert Sciglimpaglia Scores a Touchdown with Chevy Superbowl Commercial

Grad Dad Robert Sciglimpaglia Scores a Touchdown with Chevy Superbowl Commercial

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 03, 2012

Chevy has hit the playing field hard with their hilarious 2012 Superbowl commercial, (http://www.youtube.com/user/robscig?feature=mhee ), titled “The Happy Grad”. The showcasing of two parents, which the starring father figure being actor Robert Sciglimpaglia, revealing a graduation present to their son who is played by comedian Brett Sidell. In the commercial Sidell fails to realize that his parents gift is simply a small dorm sized refrigerator and instead only sees the yellow Chevy in front of him once his blindfold is removed. In an overly ecstatic rant and rave he begins screaming and racing around yelling the catchy lines “Best Gift Ever” and “Best Day Ever”. Actor and Norwalk resident attorney Robert Sciglimpaglia hilariously attempts to ease his wife’s worried response urging her to wait it out and calmly suggesting they let their sons rant run its course. “Zach was amazing,” states Sciglimpaglia. “He pays such attention to detail, but he doesn’t micromanage. He lets the actors act. I did this little Vanna White thing where I opened and closed the refrigerator door. That was completely ad-libbed.”

Robert has previously appeared on numerous popular National Television shows including History Channel’s “MysteryQuest”, two episodes of Discovery Channel’s “Most Evil” (Manson and Gangs), a recurring role on A&E’s “Watching the Detectives”, “Rescue Me”, as well as “30 Rock.” He is also well known as the go to guy for voice over work and has done on camera or voice overs for: the LA Dodgers, Dean Koontz’s book, “The Husband”, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Aquafina Water, GlaxoSmithKline, Mountain Dew, the CIA, the US Marines, Reebok, TGIFridays, Zales Jewelers, Doritos, XpressBet.com, Saratoga Raceway, The National Fair Housing Alliance/State Farm, Mercedes-Benz Fuel Cell Vehicle, AT&T, Avis-Budget Group, Educational testing services and many others. Bozzini Scores Another Victory

Bozzini Scores Another Victory

Gilbertsville, PA (PRWEB) December 21, 2005

Jim Bozzini, reality TV’s latest “love him/hate him” hot topic, announced the launch of his new website – http://www.jimbozzini.com.

Not one to do anything ordinary, Bozzini, the controversial former candidate on The Apprentice Martha Stewart, has come up with a site that reflects his high-energy, off-beat persona.

The 36-year-old Philadelphia native earned dual undergraduate degrees in graphic design and art history from Philadelphia’s Tyler School of Art. Following graduation, Bozzini spent seven years as a conceptual illustrator in Manhattan’s Upper East Side before relocating to Philadelphia to start his own advertising and marketing company which targets overlooked regional venues within the Philadelphia area.

With his wife’s encouragement, Bozzini applied for and won a candidate spot on The Apprentice Martha Stewart where he rapidly became a popular topic of the reality TV crowd and many Internet blog sites.

Bozzini’s interactive website includes his bio, skills set and business philosophy, plus an events Calendar and Audio/Video downloads. Likely to be a hit with those who post Bozzini comments to blog sites, a Questions to Jim page gives readers the opportunity to post comments directly to Bozzini. A Gallery page captures just some of the moods of Bozzini – certainly a treat for the “love-him” crowd.

From its outrageously styled logo to the page of “popular quotes from Jim,” this creative conceptual thinker has scored big with his new site “focused on the win.”
